Collective Apparition
An apparition seen simultaneously by more than one person.

Crisis Apparitions
Apparitions of the dying or recently dead (usually less than twelve hours, but as much as 24-48 hours) are the most frequently reported of apparitions. This category commonly involves one-time visits to someone with whom the apparition has close emotional ties. Though the encounter usually seems to be a type of farewell, sometimes important and useful information is relayed to the "viewer." Though dying is the most common crisis, other life-threatening situations can also trigger apparitional visits. In these cases, the crisis apparition typically visits a close associate in an appeal for help.

Apparitions of the Living

Also called bilocation, apparitions can be either spontaneous or intentional. In the case of spontaneous bilocation, the person whose apparition is seen is generally (though not always) unaware of his/her bilocation. Bilocation is considered intentional when the apparition can be connected to a person who was aware s/he was having an out of body experience (OBE), or with someone who was consciously trying to communicate with the person who witnessed his/her apparition.

Apparitions from another Dimension or Time

There are reports of apparitions who act as frightened of us as we are of them. In some cases, the apparitions indicate that we, not they are the ghosts. In reports such as these, the observed "ghosts" appear to be "normal" and "alive" as we know it, (although the setting and dress may be of a different era or locale). Given our incomplete understanding of time and space and the likelihood of additional dimensions, perhaps these rare reports indicate that two distinct spatial or time dimensions can somehow merge and coexist for a time.

Astral Body

A term used by occultists, spiritualists and theosophists to refer to a supposed "double" of the person's physical body. The astral body is believed to be separable from the physical body during astral projection (out of body experience) and at death.

Astral Projection

A term used by occultists, spiritualists and theosophists for the out of body experience. It is believed to result when the astral body separates from the physical body.

Automatic Writing

The ability to write intelligible messages without conscious control or knowledge of what is being written. See also automatism, dissociation.

Ecto Plasma

This term comes from the movie Ghost Busters and is not an actual scientific term.

Ghost

The most common term for energy left behind after someone dies. This is also referred to as a spirit. Simply put, when someone claims to have seen a ghost they are seeing the energy signature left behind.

Ghost Hunt

Going to a place were there have been no sightings of ghosts and trying to catch some on film (video and photos), sounds, eyewitness, etc. (graveyards are the number one place to start, churches, schools and older buildings too)

Ghost Investigation

Going to a known haunted place and recording data (video, photos, audio, temperatures), notes, interviews and other evidence to prove/disprove the haunting and to assist the owners and the spirits in moving on and leaving the place if they want that. The assistance can be either you directly assisting the owner with the situation or putting them in contact with experienced groups or individuals that will try to resolve the situation. Your assistance can be something as simple as educating them on what is going on and their options.

Orbs

Orbs exist all around us everyday; they are classed as paranormal by 2 simple scientific principles.
1) Orbs do not follow the basic laws of Physics. For example when you blow bubbles. They ride air currents, the same as how leaves move back and forth when they fall from a tree, birds gather air current under their wings in order to take flight. Orbs however do not use air currents to move or remain motionless, they are able to move in any direction, things that remain motionless, have some degree of drift rate, but orbs have been documented with no drift rate.
2) Orbs have been collected and found to have trace elements of DNA as they disperse from an apparition, but have no trace elements when the apparition is forming. Not all Orbs form an apparition. Orbs gather to form and apparition much the same way atoms gather to form mass.

Types Of Orbs

EnergyOrbs- reacts to other energy

Light Orbs- these are created by electrical currents such as a light bulb burning out, they are translucent and only last for a short period of time

Plasmic Orbs- most commonly called a "spirit orb" this high energy orb is easy to detect and identify due to it's mass, although different sizes, the sphere shape remains the same wand will not leave an energy trail. It will only change shape, when it connects with an equal energy source, the same way blood cells change their mass as they merge with other cells. The properties of a plasmic orb are:

Frequency rangeof 45 to 110 Mghz
External Temperature of 70 to 100 degrees
Internal temperature of 90 to 120 degrees

Plasmic Energy

Is the energy trail or source left by all atom-based elements. For example it can be seen through inferred imaging, or appear in the negatives of pictures as well as the picture itself. Take a picture of any object or person, move them and take a second picture in the same spot and it will appear in both.

Poltergiests

This German term used for noisy spirit, is not a spirit but a conductor of energy for the negative plasmic energy left over from an event itself, unlike an apparition a poltergeist can direct and attach themselves to inanimate objects and move them by magnetic fields produced. Keep in mind a Poltergeist is not a conscience force, it is like a plasmic storm, the electrical fields produced heighten that apparitions ability to communicate through EVP, as well as make itself more visible. The magnetic field causes dimensional shifts. Poltergeists can appear to be evil, but in fact injuries occur when objects are tossed or moved, much like debris caused by a storm.

Shadow Ghosts

This term is given to what appears to be an apparition, but in turn is a shift from 3 dimensional to fourth dimensional sight. Like walking into a dark room, from the light, as your eyes adjust you'll see many different shadows. Shadow ghosts can appear in many forms depending on how your sight adjusts, these are not ghosts but dimensional life forms that have yet to be identified.

Vortex

Not to be mistaken for a porthole, a vortex is the area where a haunting occurs, since Apparitions are limited to the area they haunt, the vortex allows them to cross between dimensional rifts, as the energy dissipates the Apparitions vortex closes. An Apparition cannot follow and individual home, nor can an apparition possess a person, however keep in mind it can attach itself to an object, sort of like hitch hike, most often antiques. Be aware of what you bring into your home, it may open the vortex for which an apparition may be released.
